What to do on a Sunday?

by Chris
(Barcelona)

Hello there,

We will be visiting next week for the first time and we will only be there Sunday and Monday. I forgot most places close on Sunday. Any suggestions? My kids are 10 & 8 years. Thanks

Marbella with kids in February part 2
by: Marbella Family

And, of course, there is always the beach (weather permitting). If the weather is warm enough, it is easy to spend the day hanging around the sand with a picnic. You will probably find that the kids won't be able to resist putting their feet in the water, even if it is a bit cold. The best part about this Sunday activity is that it is free! Read more about Marbella Beaches to find the closest one near you.

Another fun and free activity to do on Sunday with the kids in Marbella is climb the landmark mountain La Concha. If it is too long of a hike, you can still have fun walking part of the way and heading back when the kids get tired.

For a bit of Spanish cultural fun, take the kids to the Marbella Carnival! You are arriving just on the weekend that it starts.

Marbella with kids in February part 1
by: Marbella Family

Coming off season in early February you will find that some of the major attractions such as Selwo Aventura, Selwo Marina and Tivoli World are closed (they re-open the weekend after you leave!). There are still lots of things to still do on a Sunday in February.

Just last Sunday we took the kids to Aventura Amazonia in Elviria - a fun ropes course where kids and adults can cross wobbly bridges, speed down zip lines and basically manouever themselves through a variety of obstacle courses.

The Multisports Club in Nueva Andalucia (Marbella) just opened a bouncy castle/mega slide that runs through Sunday as well as fun and games for kids of all ages at their sports camp. The Sunday family day is a great way to meet up with other parents and kids, plus it's only 4 euro per hour for the slide/bouncy castle. Normally these kinds of activities are 5 euro for only 5 minutes in Puerto Banus!

Your boys may also have fun at the Paintball Club in Estepona. The minimum age is 7 years old, so you should be find with this option.

If you are located closer to Fuengirola, then you may want to spend the day between the Fuengirola Zoo (Bioparc) and Fuengirola Adventure Golf. You can easily do these two activities the same day.

Another great activity to do on a Sunday is head down to Gibraltar and go on the Dolphin Safari. The weather should be fine and, if not, then there is a small cabin where you can sit indoors and pop out to see the dolphins. You will see literally hundreds of them!

If you want to just chill indoors and have the kids burn some energy, try one of the several indoor parks, such as Galaxia playcenter. They will love the air cannons and the mini formula one racing.

Bring your children to The Multisports Club in Nueva Andalucia. There's a bouncy castle/mega slide all weekend for just 4 euros per hour. Also, we have our regular weekend kids' camp for 4 -14 yr olds. All kinds of sports and fun games and of course, more bouncing on the castle!

The kids' camp starts at 10.30 and finishes at 13.30
