The Marbella Fair 2011, also known as the Marbella Feria de San Barnabé, will be held this year from Monday June 6 to Sunday June 12, 2011.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Sunday June 5

08.30am Fireworks at la Casa Hermandad (Rincón de San Bernabé) to inaugurate the Marbella fair 2011.

Free tastings of "churros con chocolate" at la Casa Hermandad Romeros de San Bernabé.

09.00am Romería parade to la Ermita del Santo Patrón at Parque de Nagüeles. Itinerary: Casa Hermandad Romeros de San Bernabé, Avda. Trapiche, Avda. Mayorazgo, C/ José Luis Morales, C/ Pinsapo, C/ Calvario, Avda. Canovas del Castillo, Camino del Pinar, C/ Buchinger, ending at Pinar de Nagüeles.

12.00pm Los Romeros mass at la Ermita del Santo Patrón (Pinar de Nagüeles).

12.30pm Activities at Pinar de Nagüeles:
- Dance academies competition
- Dance with music by Duo Arenal.
- Paella Popular.

Events at Fuerte de Nagüeles:

10.00 - 20.00: Trophy prize giving ceremony for Children´s Basketball organized by Gaber Sport. Kid zone at the big tent, minigolf, multisports. Organization by Grupo XIROCO and Fuerte de Nagüeles.

19.00 Bullfight at Plaza de Toros in Marbella, David Fernandez and José Angel Moreno.

Monday June 6:

22.00 - Inauguration and lighting of the fairgrounds by the local authorities at the arch of the fairground (Recinto Ferial) on Avda. Las Albarizas. Musical performance by La Pollinica de Marbella.

23.00 - Opening speech of the Feria and Fiestas of San Bernabé 2011, at Terrazas del Puerto Deportivo (Paseo Marítimo), by D. FRANCIS GUZMAN BERNAL.

Second Act
- Coronation and band ceremony of the young Queens and Ladies, such as Miss Congeniality of the Feria y Fiestas de San Bernabé 2011.

- Election of the "Popular Queen"

23.45 - Fireworks music - aeroaquatics, at Playa del Faro (Faro Beach), announcing the kickoff of the fair in honor of San Bernabé

Tuesday June 7

12.00 Rockets/fireworks in the city streets.

13.30 Music in Parque de la Represa.

13.30 - 20.00 Day Fair (Feria de Día) with various activities at Parque de la Represa.

SENIOR CITIZEN TENT, installed for the Day Fair at the entrance of the fairgrounds.

16.30 - 17.00 Performances by local dance schools.

Plaza de Toros events:

18.00 Presentation of the Queen and King (Mister) of the Center, prize giving and costume competitions. Performance by the Center Choir (Coro del Centro) and Teresa Roldán

15.00 - 19.00 Performances by local dance schools.

18.30 Children´s activities and rides open on the fairgrounds.

Wednesday June 8

12.00 Rockets/fireworks in the city streets.

13.30 - 20.00 hrs Day Fair (Feria de Día) with various activities at Parque de la Represa.

SENIOR CITIZEN TENT, installed for the Day Fair at the entrance of the fairgrounds.

16.30 - 17.00 Performances by local dance schools.


Day of the Center Encarna Cantero with events:

18.00 Coronation of the Queen and Mister of the Center. Reina y Mister del Centro. Broom dance and pasodoble competition.

15.00 - 19.00 Local dance school performance at the Day Fair and on Paseo de la Alameda.

17.00 Grand kids party at the Palacio de Congresos, with loads of activities for even the youngest of kids. Bouncy castles, jumping, zipline, entertainment and many more surprises. Free cake and refreshments.

18.30 Children´s activities and rides open on the fairgrounds.
18.30 - 00.00 1st CHILDREN´S DAY with 50% discount on all rides at the children´s feria.
22.30 “Fusión Marbella”, with performance by Eva Piñero, Sonia Berbel, El Pirata and El Flore, at Palacio de Congresos

The Day of the Miraflores Center. Events:
18.30 Sevillanas flamenco competition
19.00 The art of Andalusia Carmelo Cuevas at Plaza de Toros de Marbella. Enjoy the best horses of Andalusia.

Friday June 10

12.00 Bell ringing and rockets to the tune of the national anthem and Andalusia. Local authorities will hang the historical banner on the balcony of the Marbella Town Hall to the music of the Municpal Music Band and the Musical group La Pollinica de Marbella.

Parade of Giants and Big Heads (Pasacalles de Gigantes y Cabezudos) to the music of the group La Pollinica de Marbella.

Parade itinerary Town Hall, Plaza de los Naranjos, C/ Estación, Plaza de la Victoria, C/ Pedraza, C/ Fortaleza, C/ Africa, C/ Alameda, Plaza de San Juan de Díos, C/ Enrique del Castillo, Avda. Ramón y Cajal and ending at Plaza de la Victoria.

13.30 - 20.00 Day Fair (Feria de Día) with various activities at Parque de la Represa.

Saturday June 11

10.00 Religious procession at the historical landmark la Cruz de Humilladero (Calle Málaga) with music from the Municipal Music Band and the band La Pollinica de Marbella.

Itinerario Marbella Town Hall, Plaza de los Naranjos, Plaza Gral. Chinchilla, C/ Carmen, Plaza de la Iglesia, C/ Caridad, C/ Misericordia, Plaza Altamirano, Plaza Puente de Málaga, C/ Malaga , la Cruz de Humilladero, la Parroquia Ntra. Sra de la Encarnación.

10.30 Commemorative medal ceremony of the Cruz de Humilladero on C/ Málaga.

11.00 Mass at Parroquia Ntra. Sra. de la Encarnación.

Procession in honor of the Patron Saint San Bernabé.

SENIOR CITIZEN TENT, installed for the Day Fair at the entrance of the fairgrounds. Various activities are organized by the various senior citizens homes of Marbella.

18.00 Dancing to live music.

15.00 - 19.00 Local dance school performance at the Day Fair and on Paseo de la Alameda. The stage is set at the Bonsai Museum.

18.30 Children´s activities and rides open on the fairgrounds.

21.00 “Ronda de Cuarentunas” (A round of drinks) to the Queens and Ldies of the Feria y Fiestas de San Bernabé 2011, on the balcony of Marbella Town Hall (Plaza de Los Naranjos).

23.00 Concerty by DAVID BUSTAMANTE, at Palacio de Congresos.

Sunday June 12

12.00 Rockets/fireworks in the city streets.

11.30 Popular games competition at Parque de la Represa (next to the little temple)
- Apple game
- Sac race
- Bicycle ribbon competition
- Plate spinning competition

Registration must be made one hour before the start of the games at the same location as the event.

13.30 - 20.00 Day Fair (Feria de Día) with various activities at Parque de la Represa.

SENIOR CITIZEN TENT, installed for the Day Fair at the entrance of the fairgrounds.

16.30 - 17.00 Local dance school performance

Day of the Santa Marta Center. Events:

18.00 Presentation of the Queen and Mister of the Center. Sevillanas exhibition and performance by Dolores Guerrero and Mª Carmen Villar.

15.00 - 19.00 Local dance school performance at the Day Fair and on Paseo de la Alameda. The stage is set at the Bonsai Museum.

18.30 Children´s activities and rides open on the fairgrounds.

18.30 - 00.00 2nd CHILDREN´S DAY with 50% discount on all rides at the children´s feria.

A 50% discount for prepaid tickets purchased June 9 – 12 only at the bullring box office.
