Christmas Day Lunch 2010

by Sue
(England)

Hello - we will be in Marbella over Christmas and need to find a suitable place for 8 adults (inc 2 80 year old ladies) and a child of 8 for Xmas lunch that will be relaxed and not a silly price.

Any suggestions with contact details?

Nice restaurant
by: Lydia

I suggest you to have either lunch or dinner at Casa Eladio, a very nice and typical spanish restaurnant in Marbella old town. It´s one of the best I have ever been! great service and better food!

Marbella restaurants for Christmas lunch
by: Marbella Family

There are many places to choose from in Marbella offering a wonderful experience for a Christmas lunch. I assume that you would not want a restaurant that has many stairs making it difficult for the elder ones in your group.

One of our favorite restaurants in Marbella offering a wonderful meal at a reasonable price is Los Sardinales. As you can see from the photo, there are no stairs or difficult passes to get to the restaurant. So if there is a wheelchair involved, there should be no problems.

Los Sardinales is a Spanish restaurant located right on the beach in Elviria just 5 minutes from Marbella center. It offers a wonderful selection of seafood and has a beautiful view of the sea. If the weather is good (which it often is!), you will even be able to eat outdoors. If not, there is seating indoors.

If you are looking for more of an English menu on Christmas morning many hotels will be offering specials, however, personally, I find them all a bit pricey.

Restaurants in Marbella Old Town and Puerto Banus will be pricey over the holidays, so I would recommend heading towards Benahavis. A small village about 15 minutes from Marbella that has a restaurant every 5 meters that offer good value. I must warn you that the village has some steep roads in case this poses a problem. It is still worth a visit during your stay in Marbella.

If you follow our blog or newsletter in December, you will find new postings on special offers, activities, and news on all Marbella has to offer during the holidays.

Also, if you send us more criteria in what you are looking for in a restaurant, we can give you some more suggestions, i.e. location (beach, golf, view, terrace), menu (English, Spanish, French...), and price.
