Mom's evaluation: We have been wanting to try Tony Romas Marbella
for a long time, especially as I remember going to their restaurants in
the States long ago. We ordered plenty of things to try including their
famous Baby Back ribs, giant hamburger, onion rings, and dessert. The
best by far were the ribs. They were cooked very well and had an amazing
barbeque sauce that went along with it. The portions are typical
American style - HUGE, so beware on what and how you order if you have
small kids. The giant hamburger was the biggest burger I´ve seen in my
life. It was big enough to feed a family of four! The kids were
seriously impressed, but unfortunately, the taste was a bit of a
disappointment. The rest of our meal was also quite avearge considering
we were so impressed by the ribs. However, we all enjoyed the square
shaped onion rings. The desserts were large, but not as tasty as it
looked on the menu.
We must have gone on an off day as there was hardly anyone in
the restaurant. It was pretty dead and the decor reminded me of typical
American chain restaurant - a bit like TGIF or Hard Rock Cafe. It´s not
fine dining, but at least you don´t have to worry about the kids making
noise or a mess. The staff was friendly and service was good. No
complaints there.
There is a small area in the back of the restaurant that is
enclosed that looks like you may be able to have your kids run around
without bothering clients. Difficult to say as there weren´t many diners
that day, but imagine in the summer it would be more clear.
