Maths Help online

My name is Arthur and I am a 4th year student in a prestigius American university studying mathematics and computer science.

I enjoy mathematics so much, and it hurts me deeply to see kids struggle with it for so many years. As a university student, I see so many continue to struggle with maths beyond high school. No matter what career your child will approach, there is a high chance that it will involve maths, especially if your child shoots for a successful career in a STEM field.

The problem for many kids who have trouble with maths is that they luck strong foundation. Many tutors just try to explain the current material and help with the homework. While this may work in a short run and help with a specific exam, it hurts them in a long run. What I try to do is when a child does not understand something, is to go back to the foundation and go from there. I do not rely on a child memorizing certain theorems or remember how to do a certain problem and then apply it on a different one. I want my students to understand what and why we do certain things. Mathematics is about understanding, not memorization.

I have equipment and experience to help your child with maths online. Despite living in Marbella I only provide classes online to do my part in a fight with a pandemic.

Stay safe and stay well.

Comment to Anonymous IN RE Qualifications
by: Steve Russell, Tutor Me This

Hello, Anonymous, aka troll in a dark room...do you lack so much confidence that you will not reveal your name?

I have taught at several local schools. Teachers at every local school recommend their students to me. I work with a local psychiatrist (Harvard trained) in a bilateral referral arrangement. My network of now over 100 past students, and their proud parents refer their friends' children to me, so much so that I am continually booked, and have been for many years.

I hold three degrees (two of them a Double first, University of California) and a Master's degree from Stanford. I educate in Maths, Economics, Business and American university admission.

I do NOT hold a QTS! One look at my CV and I was hired at the above mentioned schools. Parents trust their children with me, even when I taught from my home classroom, now via SKYPE.

I have known Mr Arthur Vilenskiy for five years. I taught him, and assisted him to gain admission to UCSD in America! He is a fine, responsible, highly educated young man. I recommend him without reservation: For Maths, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.

Sincerely,
Steve Russell, Tutor Me This

Qualifiations.

How unfortunate that yet another unqualified person, albeit a graduate in this case, is advertising Mathematics tuition. Parents should ask for a reference or proof of teacher status. Think about the fact that you are allowing a stranger access to your child..
