Father Christmas Galaxia
by: Clare

Last year I took my two boys to the Santas Grotto in Galaxia in Guadalmina. I wasn´t expecting much as most of the ones I had been to were not a patch on what we get in the UK, but I have to say the did an amazing job. It was really magical. They had a proper Grotto with a forest and a little wooden house, with lots of lights and Father Christmas was lovely. I am sure they will do it again this year, I really hope so as mine are already talking about going!

Father Christmas in Marbella
by: Marbella Family

What area are you located in and how far are you willing to travel?

There is a Father Christmas at La Cañada shopping center, which is really easy to get to if you are in Marbella. Click on the link above to find more information.

There is also a Santa Claus at the Miramar Shopping center in Fuengirola. He will be available to meet the children starting Friday December 2, 2011 at 7:30pm. For the whole month of December he will be meeting children everyday the mall is open from 6:00pm to 8:00pm until December 24th when he will be available from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

There is a whole agenda of holiday activities taking place at the Miramar shopping center. So take a look at it if you are in that area.

You may also find Father Christmas at a number of bazaars, childrens parties and fairs taking place throughout the Costa del Sol this year. Take a look at our Christmas and New Years events page to find more details.

Marbella Town Hall also gives children the opportunity to meet Father Christmas in the lovely Old Town district of Marbella. Every year they set up a grotto where Santa meets with the children who tell him what they would like for Christmas or Los Reyes (Kings Day) and he passes out sweets for all the kids. This year Santa's grotto is inaugurated on December 1st at the Parque de la Alameda in Old Town Marbella. Santa will sit in his grotto from December 5 - 24 with the following hours:

Weekdays 6:00pm-8:30pm.
Saturdays 11:00am-1:30pm and 6:00pm-8:30pm.
Sundays, December 24, and holidays 11:00am-1:30pm.

There is also a Santa's grotto in San Pedro de Alcantara. Read our Marbella Christmas Events page to find more details.
