PROGRAM ITINERARY

Day 01 : Fes

Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco. Step back six centuries into the medieval Medina with its narrow and cobbled streets filled with ancient mosques, towering green glazed minarets and crumbling fondouks. Narrow openings into private worlds reveal architecture of peaceful courtyards filled with carved cedar, brilliantly colored mosaic tiles and delicately carved stucco ornaments.

In Fes we will visit the medina (the old city) and its alleys - including the famous tanneries and the Quaraouine mosque. After lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant in the Medina, you’ll visit the Merinid tombs and experience a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Overnight accommodation will be at your hotel or riad in Fes.


Day 02 : Fes / Volubilis / Fes.

After breakfast we’ll leave Fes travelling towards Meknes and Volubilis - the well preserved Roman city (dating to 25 bc). After finished visiting we will drive back to Fes where you will be provided with dinner and accommodation in a hotel or a riad.


Day 03 : Fes / Errachidia.

After an early breakfast, departure to Errachidia through the scenic, wooded Middle Atlas Mountains region. Stop in Azrou to visit a Berber village known for its handicraft cooperative. Lunch will be at one of the typical restaurant in Zaida, then we will travel through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock. Taking in views of the Anti-Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Er Rachidia, where you’ll be accommodated overnight in a hotel.


Day 04 : Errachidia / Merzouga.

After breakfast by the hotel then travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way. We will drive through welcoming Berber villages to Erfoud, and then Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty - the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Rissani is surrounded by 360 ksar (a fortified village with many towers) and has a big souk (an open market), held three times a week.
Once called Sijilmassa, this was the meeting place for the salt caravans, coming from Timbuctou in Mali. Here you’ll walk through the souk, selling spices, vegetables and cloths. Stopping for having (madfouna ) for lunsh in one of the typical restaurant at errissani
Then continue you r trip toward merzouga the sand dunes where you r camel will be awaiting you and will be guided by an experienced camelman, start your safari to explore within the mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi. Here you will spend your first night under the stars in a traditional Berber nomad tent.


Day 05 : Camel trek and Merzouga .

After breakfast you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. Enroute you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes.

After arriving back in Merzouga freshen-up and start an explorative journey of the area. You’ll visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle. Not far away there’s the lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations. You may also visit the nomad wire house where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities. That evening you’ll be entertained by Berber and Gnaoua musicians and will be accommodated overnight in a local guesthouse.


Day 06 : merzouga /TINEGHIR .Todra Gorges./ IMILCHIL / MIDELT.

After an early breakfast, we will depart for Tinghir, and Todra gorges - the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Many people come to enjoy the rock-climbing, and hiking through the Todra Valley, and you’ll have a short walk under the 320m high red cliff. After lunch, we will continue our drive to reach Imilchil where we will take a mild hike to the breath taking plateau des lacs..then we will continue our driving towards midelt passing throught a sightseeing vews.

Overnight accommodation will be in a hotel at Midelt.


Day 07 :Midelt / Fes.

After an early breakfast, we will depart for Fes through the Mid- Atlas Mountain region.

Arriving Fes, where we will have lunch in one of the typical restaurants. The rest of the day will free time at leisure. Enjoy a shopping time or simply relax at your Riad or a hotel.

The tour ends in the morning after breakfast.
