The Great Estepona Dog Show: Sunday 13 May 2012
Here’s a date for the diary, Sunday 13 May 2012, the day of The Great Estepona Dog Show, organised by local charity ADANA with all the proceeds being used to care for abandoned dogs in this area.
The doors open at 11am at the Palacio de Congresos in Estepona and judging will start at midday.
The Show will this year include two new classes: Best Pedigree and Best Spanish Breed. In the latter category entrants are invited from such beautiful breeds as: the Podenco, Galgo, Bodegero Andaluz and the incomparable Spanish Waterdog.
The Show will continue with its highly popular Agility and Obedience classes, so aspiring entrants may need to get into training now for: High Jumps, Obstacle Courses, Round the Clock Jumping and Obedience.
Amongst many other categories, prizes will also be awarded to "The Dog with the Waggiest Tail" and, our perennial favourite, the "Dog who looks most like his/her owner", as well as Best Veteran and Best Puppy.
The Show is all about dogs. It’s for dogs and dog lovers. But it’s also about having fun, meeting friends over a cup of coffee or glass of cava and entertaining the kids – there’s even a prize for the "Best Junior Dog Handler".
There is no better place to admire the variety, beauty, ability and dedication of Man’s Best Friend, so get the date in your diaries now!
