The Museo del Grabado Español Contemporáneo (Museum of Contemporary Spanish Printmaking) is holding a special event titled "Saturdays at the Museum" that includes sessions on printmaking.

The next event is a workshop on 'Music Engraving' (Grabando con música’) led by Juan Fernandez held on Saturday October 29, 2011 from 10:30 to 13:30.

The activity will teach engraving using music as a medium and a subject on which to create. Through the etching technique known as "dry point", and on sheets of acetate. You will be given a brief review of the musical iconography from ancient times until today to learn various musical instruments that have been used over the centuries, primarily string and wind instruments.

This activity is open to the public aged 7 years and older and offers a limited number of 16 spaces. Anyone interested can register (10 euros per person) at the museum´s head office until 2:00pm on Friday October 28th. All materials are included in the price of tuition.

The museum reserves the right to cancel the workshop in the case less than six people sign up.
