Romeria Virgen del Rosario in Benahavis

The Romeria Virgen del Rosario in Benahavis takes place each year on the October 7 at La Ermita de Nuestra Señora del Rosario, the Patron Saint of Benahavis. A pilgrimage by foot or carriage is made by locals to the Ermita with a local fiesta taking place after a mass at private and local tents set up where people may gather to eat, drink, dance and basically be merry.

Schedule of Events:
Please note the exact schedule may vary each year but generally the day will look something like this.

9:00am - Free "churros con chocolate" on Avenida de Andalucía

11:00am - Procession of the Virgen del Rosario to the chapel (Ermita) located on the A-7175 road to Benahavis.

2:00pm - live music and entertainment at the chapel.

There will also be fun and games in the Municipal Tent. All in all, a great day out with the family.
