Al Risalat Mosque

Al Risalat Mosque

Hi,

Me and my husband are traveling to Spain at the end of September. We plan to take a bus from La Linea to Marbella and spend the day/night there. What is the name of the white mosque and the address? I´m thinking we can take a taxi, right?

thanks!

Al Risalat Mosque in Marbella
by: Marbella Family

The mosque you are referring to is called the Al Risalat Mosque and is located in Marbella off the Golden Mile, which is the main road leading to Marbella center. You won´t be able to miss it as it is an impressive white building that you can see just off the road on the mountain side.

The mosque is located at 58 calle de la Apartada. It was the first mosque built in the area after the Moors were conquered by the Christians in the 15th century. It is recommended that you visit the mosque at dusk to watch the prayer session in action.

There are buses that leave La Linea to Marbella bus station, which is about a 45 minute ride. The mosque is about a 5-10 minute ride from the bus station. For more bus information visit our practical information page.
