Mijas Christmas concert 17th and 18th December

On Friday the 17th of December at 9pm, the Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Malaga will perform a Christmas Concert - the Opus 71 of Tchaikovsky´s “Nutcrackers” – tickets are 7€ and 5€ in case you are in possession of a pensioners card or a youth card.

The next evening, on Saturday the 18th of December at 9pm, there will be another classical Christmas Concert presented by the Young Orchestra of the Province of Malaga (JOPMA) – tickets are 5€. Both concerts will be performed at the Teatro Las Lagunas in Mijas. This festive weekend of Christmas music will be a fantastic evening out for the family to get you into that Christmas spirit!

About JOPMA:
JOPMA was originally launched in 1991 with the name ‘Camerata Académica’ and since then has been sponsored by the Diputación de Málaga, with the aim of spreading classical music all over the province. Their young musicians have played concerts in almost every municipality of Malaga. In addition to performing at schools, child protection centres, social centres and coorporations, they have also featured at festivals in several Spanish cities and abroad.

JOPMA is made up from children and young people aged 12 years or older. The repertoire of the Youth Orchestra of Malaga Provincial covers all eras and styles.

To purchase tickets, the box office hours are open from Wednesday to Friday: 5pm to 8pm and 2 hours before the concerts begin, day of show.
