A wide range of meat cuts
I thought it an appropriate adjunct to my reviewing of restaurants along the coast, that I extend this to our personal experiences of food suppliers that we use, and trust.
Arguably the most important elements are Meat & Poultry, Fish, Fruit & Vegetables. For all of these perishable items, freshness must be of supreme importance. This is true for some of the meats, and all of the other produce, but for certain meat and game, a maturing but controlled ‘hanging time’ on the premises is a plus, for this manifests itself in the ultimate flavour and texture after cooking. A traditional butcher should not only be able to reduce a carcase to the dozens of cuts for each individual animal, but be able to produce a variety of sausages, Pies, cooked meat, salt Beef, and even Sausage rolls and burgers. Meat cuts have national variations, and if like us, you favour an English cut there are only a handful of places that will satisfy you. This vendor is one of them
We have been buying meat from The British Butchery for about 5 or 6 years
ruing the short time that it closed about a years or so ago, but with Carlos joining forces with Barry they are now going from strength to strength. They now have many British products on sale and keep a wide variety of marinades, sauces glazes and Stuffing’s.
The British Butchery is on the Comercial Benavista local 11, (the main parade of shops) and they are open from 8:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday and from 8:30 to 15:00 on Saturdays, you can contact them on 952885745 They speak English and Spanish.
