Family Fun Day for Aprona centre in Estepona. Sept. 30, 2012

Dear Friends,

One year on and Fundación Elliot George, the foundation that helps children with special needs, is organising a sponsored walk in Estepona. As in the past, the walk will coincide with the annual “Funday” charity event hosted by Bar los Arcos and Benavista Bowling Club, where children and adults alike can enjoy live music, magic, games, a tombola and raffle, market stalls…

Any children wishing to participate in the sponsored walk can download a SPONSOR FORM from our website or collect one from Mel at Bar los Arcos (952 88 51 48). Registration time will be from 10:30 onwards at the meeting point at Bar los Arcos. The walk will commence at 11:30 and finish at 12:30. The circuit is approximately 2 km around the Benavista area and will be monitored by appointed marshals. Any child under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult..

This year more than ever, we are asking for further collaboration. We know times are hard but they are especially hard for those institutions working with these children. Government cutbacks are seriously reducing badly needed funds in order for these organisations to survive. Every day we are hearing of professionals offering their services for free, their efforts and dedication never faltering. Lets all join forces and help them out!

Whilst we appreciate that just by attending the event you will be supporting our cause, there are many other ways you could collaborate;

■We need volunteers to run stalls etc. If you would like to help, please contact us via the aforementioned numbers.
