Dia del Pedal Bicycling Day in Marbella - 20 September 2015

SUNDAY 20 SEPTEMBER 2015 - FREE REGISTRATION

Coinciding with the European Week of Sustainable Mobility 2015 and for the second consecutive year, Dia del Pedal Marbella will take place on 20 September 2015.

The event is organised by CD Cicloturista The Vereita, the association ByCivic ConBici Marbella and the Marbella Town Hall through the Municipal Sustainability and Mobility Delegations, Sports, Tourism and Citizenship.

MEETING PLACE, DATE AND TIME:

Free registration will be from 9:00 a.m. at 10:45. A.M. on the terrace of S.C. Plaza del Mar, on Sunday September 20, next to Avenue Camilo Jose Cela.

Initial participants enrolling will receive a shirt commemorating the Day of Marbella Pedal 2015. There will also be a raffle and awards for successful performers.

The event will start at 11:00 AM from the Plaza del Mar and is expected to last about an hour, depending on the number of cyclists.

TRAVEL:

The tour will be of the center of Marbella and boardwalk, and will be at the beginner level. The route will go from Plaza del Mar, continuing to Av. Arturo Rubinstein, Av. Ricardo Soriano, Av. Ramón y Cajal, Av. Duque de Ahumada, Av Maria de Salamanca (known as Section Marble) and again Av. Camilo Jose Cela.

Children under 16 years will have to wear helmets in compliance with the new traffic regulations, according to the DGT standards

At the finish line, a drawing of gifts among the participants and the awards ceremony will be held.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

All attendees who wish to participate in the celebration understand that this event is a tour to promote urban cycling framed in the European Week of Sustainable Mobility. This is not a competition. At all times the safety of the organizers and the rules of behaviour are to be followed.
