Abandoned car re-reg in Spain

Hello there.

I have been told I can have an old Renault car that an English lady has left in her garage here in Spain for more than 5 years.

She has gone back to the UK and has told me that the paperwork has been lost plus the keys etc . The car is a left hand drive but she can't remember if she registered it in the UK or not.

Just because she says I can have it would it be possible to get Spanish papers in my name so I can use it around Spain.

PS we live here in the Malaga region (British retirees)
