Summer sport camp and swim classes in Marbella

Marbella Town Hall opens registration tomorrow for its Campaña de Verano (summer camp) which has 2,192 places which are divided between the Polideportivo (multi-sport) classes and the swim classes.

This year the town hall had to increase the number of places in Nueva Andalucia and the Antonio Serrano Lima pool in Marbella to make way for the places lost in San Pedro Alcántara due to the works being made on their indoor pool.

The swimming classes have three levels:
1. Beginners for children and adults
2. Swimming for children and adults
3. Aquagym for adults

The courses will be held in blocks of 15 days:
July 5 - 16
July 19 - 30
August 2 - 13
August 17 - 30
The August courses will be held only in Guadaiza pool.

Registration starts Tuesday June 1 and will be open until all the places are full. Registration can be made at the Serrano Lima pool in Marbella pool Serrano Lima, San Pedro Palacio de Deportes (sports palace). Registration for children take place from June 1 to 14, while adults may register from June 15 to 25. The district of Nueva Andalucía will also be open for registrations, however from June 1 to 8 from 9:00am until 2:00pm in the Casa de la Juventud (Youth House).

Prices are €20 to €24 for adults with a 30% discount for large families, 10% discount for holders of the Joven carné (youth cards) and 50% discount for pensioners.

Polideportivo classes (multi-sport) will be held on the same dates with different outdoor activites such as archery, rock climbing, cave exploration, zip line, canoeing, and other fun activities. There will also be celebrations at Parque Merlín Aventuras in San Pedro and Fuerte de Nagüeles in Marbella.

Multi-sport camp (Cursos Polideportivos) are €70, with an option to leave the camp at 2:30pm or €130 with the option to stay for lunch and leave at 4:30pm.
