School sports day in Marbella

Approximately 1,300 children between teh ages of 6 and 7 from local schools in Marbella will be participating in a sports day titled Pequemaratón (Mini-marathon) on November 4th and 5th, 2010. Starting at 10:00am at Marbella´s Municipal Stadium children from schools in Marbella, San Pedro Alcantara, Las Chapas and Nueva Andalucia will be partipating in the event.

On Thursday November 4th the following schools will compete:
Juan Ramón Jiménez
Gil Muñiz
Xarblanca
Santa Teresa
Nª Sra del Carmen
García Lorca
Mª Auxiliadora I
Aloha

On Friday November 5th the following schools will compete:

Fco.Echamendi
Las Chapas
José Banús
Los Olivos
Valdeolletas
La Latina.

This school sports day is organized by the Marbella Sport Delegation in conjunction with TSAFAD of Mijas and the Marbella Volunteer Association.

The event will include drinks and a certificate for all the participants as well as free transport for the children attending.
