Is the San Pedro Market open on public holidays such as 8 September?

San Pedro Market on Public Holidays
by: Deirdre N

The market is closed on public holidays but I assume only holidays that affect the whole country as well as those that affect the local area (such as the feast of San Pedro de Alcántara on Oct 19th. If (as I understand it) 8 Sept is only a holiday in Asturia, it probably wouldn't apply but (unless someone more knowledgeable responds!) you'd be best checking in local tourist office, to be sure.
