Patchwork and Quilting exhibition 21 June - 7 July 2016

The local group Quilters del Sol are holding an exhibition of their work in La Casa de la Cultura, La Cala, Mijas Costa from Tuesday 21st June to Thursday 7th July. Entrance is free and the hall will be open from 10:00 to 14:00 and then 17:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday in June. For July, the hall will be open just for the morning session. So go along and have a look at the excellent work this group has made.

The group meet twice per month and consist of residents and visitors of all abilities who just enjoy sewing with the emphasis on patchwork. The meeting place is at the Elviria Bowls Club where there is space for hand sewing and machines. There are members from Estepona to Benalmadena along the coast and inland as far as Coín and Alhaurín El Grande and even one from Pizarra. Everyone has lunch together and the meetings finish about 16:00. There are lots of members available to talk to and ask questions on how to do things. So no need to worry about how good you are. If you enjoy sewing you will be welcome.
