Marbella Holiday during COVID Restrictions this Summer

We would love to consider a holiday in Marbella this summer but aren’t sure if that’s even possible.

Can foreigners travel to Marbella by car?

Is anything open for kids and families (beaches, restaurants, etc.)?

Marbella Holiday during COVID Restrictions this Summer
by: Marbella Family Fun

Hi John!
So glad to hear you are interested in coming to Marbella for a holiday!

At the moment, only essential travel is allowed into Spain with a 14 day quarantine. However, after July 1st the Government has announced that tourists coming to Spain will not have to quarantine for 14 days.

As Marbella is continuing through the phases of re-opening, there are more and more things to do. So far various restaurants, sports centers, and beauty & wellness centers have already opened. Tours, activities, cinemas, and beaches will also start opening soon as we pass to Phase 2. Additionally, some hotels have also announced they will be re-opening in July.

This all likely means that Marbella will be open to tourists in July, but things can always change. We recommend you stay updated through our website and social media, as well as following official sources such as the Government BOE announcements.
