Lovely Cafeteria in Unexpected Place in Benahavis

Hello,

I would like to give a big "thumbs-up" recommendation for the cafeteria at the new Ayuntamiento building in Benahavis. It's run by a lovely young couple called Angela (Spanish) and Simone (Italian). Angela's cakes are simply wonderful - especially her apple cake (served warm with a dollop of cream...worth travelling to Benahavis for!), and her orange cake. She also does some lovely tapas and paella. Coffee is Illy and the wines are nice, and it's all very reasonably priced.

It's easy to pass as you enter the town but it's on the left before you get into the main part of the town. There is a covered car park and easy access by elevator straight to the cafe. (Look for the advertising board at street level at the entrance to the car park. Take the lift to level 3.)

The view from the terrace is lovely so I recommend you give it a try.

They are open Monday to Friday 08.00-5.00pm, and can do parties at weekends by arrangement.

We were impressed by Angela and Simone's effort to make us very welcome, and she offered us tasters of her cakes! Yum! WE took some home with us, it was that good!
