La Marina Puerto Banus

I normally start writing my reviews by listing all the points that commend the restaurant, and those that were less than good. However, try as I may, I could not find one single element of our lunch that displeased us. From the hundreds of restaurant reviews I have written, I can count the number of times I have awarded 5's, including some 5✹ , for all five of the Bishlin Guide parameters, on the fingers of one hand! The attention to detail, ambience, and especially the food, let alone the location on the principle quay in Puerto Banus, leaves nothing to be desired.
The dining room has 40 covers and a further 4 in the entrance, I very much liked the quirky, yet elegant décor. The furnishing, lighting, cutlery, china and linen were all of a high standard, and the music was, ‘background’, there is even a great Palm tree growing through the restaurant! Although principally a seafood eatery, there are many plates of Pasta and Pizzas as well as half a dozen dishes for the carnivores on the menu.
Manager, Fabrice served us with chef Francisco’s culinary delights, which were, for starters of Prawn Carpaccio and Steamed Mussels, and to follow Grilled Lobster and Sole Meunier. Interestingly, the chef had removed both the pelvic and dorsal finlets before sautéing the fish, something I had not seen before, but would commend others to follow his example. In taste and presentation, all of our meal was perfection.
Bottom line: Our plans to return are already being hatched to explore some of the more humble dishes on offer,

Parking (difficult to find street parking) but in the underground parking diagonally opposite El Corte Ingles 5 min. walk North of the restaurant. Average price of a 3 course meal with wine 44€. There is a 15€ lunch menu. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
