Gala Restaurant Marbella

Gala Restaurant Marbella

The first thing that strikes you about Gala is its minimalistic modernity. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard by Anna , the owner, who hails from Thailand. She has created a dining room of deceptively simple beauty, even the place settings shriek of class!

But enough of me waxing about the restaurant, what about the food? Each of the dishes that were presented to us, was in its self, a picture created by Sri Lancan chef Nushan.
As we were to later learn, they tasted as good as they looked.

From the 13 starters, our party of four chose Foie Gras with brandy glazed figs and toast, Scallops with peas, a truffle oil infused Risotto and a crispy bacon tuiles, and, what was billed as a cold tomato soup was served with crispy ham pieces (a twist on Gazpacho).

For Mains, two of us opted for Medallions of Duck, and two for the Filet Mignon with a delicious truffle oiled risotto and asparagus. One word WOW!

This was our first time at Gala. Alexando, the Maitre’d helped us with our selections in a cheerful manner and with all my questions to him, this must have been a steep learning curve!

Vital stats.
