Sotogrande International School Boarding House by: Anonymous
Sotogrande International School has a phenomenal boarding facility. It is a mixed boarding campus with 100 students from 30 nationalities. The school offers the full IB program, A Levels for sports specialists and the High School Diploma. A boarding student last year achieved 45 points. Chester College International School in Santiago de Compostela by: Lara Dirwan
I sent my daughter there for 2 academic years (initially it was going to be one, but she loved it and did very well, so she ended up finishing Grade 12 there). Its a small educational community where they take very good care of students. Academic standards are high. They follow both the American and Spanish curriculums and classes are taught either in Spanish or English depending on the student´s level (which can evolve through time). Santiago de Compostela is a lovely city, really safe. It has an international airport. It is not close to Marbella though!

Hamelin-Laie International School in Barcelona, IB School by: Anonymous
I recommend Hamelin-Laie International School in Montgat, Barcelona. They teach from 0 to 18 years old, and offer National Baccalaureate and International Baccalaureate. Also, they have a summer course of Mid-IB to prepare students of the 1st course of Diploma for the 2nd course and the final exams of IB.
They have a student residence inside the campus, for students from 15 to 18 years old, and a restaurant, and seasights!
My daughter is studying and living there.

Boarding School in Barcelona by: Jess
There´s a very nice Boarding school in Sitges - the nice resort town in Barcelona. The Boarding is on the part of International School of Barcelona and it´s a real treasure. We´ve made a visit there and it´s completely spectacular as well as its situation, looks like the palace to me. It´s a family style and seems that there are not so many places there. The school gives the education completely in English, except for language classes and they also do IB diploma programme. The staff is supportive and the facilities are new. I would definitely say that it´s worth consideration.

Sotogrande is terrible by: Anonymous
I just removed my son from Sotogrande, the educational standard is appalling. You could try Kings College in Madrid for boarding.

GCSE? by: Anonymous
Spain boarding school! In which there are other English people, thinking of spending a year or a half a year and that I can fly back to England in the holidays! In Madrid? Or either near the beach! I'm taking gcse now so this would have to accommodate that:)

Your choice of boarding schools by: Anonymous
Your choice of boarding schools depends on where you live in Spain. Try the schools in Madrid, Menorca, Palma de Mallorca. They provide the opportunity for children to become completely bilingual and to choose between a Spanish and English-language university or career.
