Barbeque on the beach

BBQ in Marbella

Does anyone know if you can barbeque on the beach in Marbella or around the Costa del Sol? I don't believe it is allowed, but perhaps there are some designated areas?

Indeed, Katalin is right, just approach the San Pedro or Marbella town hall and they will issue you with a permitt. In San Pedro, the BBQ area is between the Ancla restaurant and the arroyo del chopo. All the best, Vincent

BBQ beach

I have BBQ´d many times on the beach. Best to choose a beach that is very "domingueros" eg East Marbella, from El Rosario to Don Carlos. You see many Spanish families on Sundays bring everything but the kitchen sink down and BBQ, never seems to be any problems. I have also BBQ´d in Tarifa, depends on wind conditions though, pick a dune!

I have heard that to BBQ on the beach and organizing a party etc. you´ll need a permit from Ayuntamiento.

Barbeque in Fuengirola

you can hire the boats at Bikini Beach to bbq on (near Fuengirola castle). They are free you just have to register at Ayuntamiento.

Apply for bbq permit

The Spanish often do it on those little throw away foil ones. Technically I believe you have to apply to local town hall to get permission.
