* Daylight savings on Sunday!

Daylight savings time is here and it's time to push your clocks forward one hour on Saturday before you go to bed (umless you go to bed very late on Sunday morning). The official time changes at 1:00am on Sunday March 25th moving clocks ahead to 2:00am. One less hour of sleep, but imagine that extra evening sun we will have that makes us feel like it's summer!

DID YOU KNOW?: Daylight Saving Time was conceived by Benjamin Franklin in 1784.


* La Latina Baby School

We have some very nice reviews for La Latina Baby School. This is a bilingual (Spanish-English) playschool for children as young as 3 months to four years old. This school is an ideal place for children to establish their first links to the world, outside of the family, where they can grow, mature and learn.

Have the kids burn off some energy in the morning and make new friends at The Multisports Club Easter camp held Monday to Friday for two weeks from April 2 to April 13.

* Marbella Easter processions

Easter in Spain is celebrated a bit differently than many of us are used to at home and their Easter processions are something quite spectacular to witness. The processions are held all throughout the week and consist of "tronos" (thrones that are as big as floats) which can weigh more than 5,000 kilos.

* Salidas Abiertas – Nature walks

Marbella Town Hall organizes walks through nature reserves, parks, mountains and other outdoor areas in Andalusia at very reasonable prices called Salidas Abiertas.

This is a great way to discover the nature that exists along the Costa del Sol and Andalusia as well as a wonderful opportunity to meet locals and practice your Spanish.

The next walk is this Sunday April 1st to Sierra Blanca - La Concha (Marbella’s famous landmark mountain). This is an advanced 14km walk and costs only 6 euro. If you are interested in this walk, you must register the week before the walk (March 26 -29).

TIP 1: If you are interested in walking the famous Camino de Santiago, you may want to mark your calendar for the registration date. This is a very special walk and may fill up quickly. Click here to read more…

The Fuerte Nagueles Marbella Easter camp 2012 takes place from Monday April 2 to Wednesday April 4 during Semana Santa (Holy Week) for children aged 6 to 14 at Parque Fuerte Nagueles in Marbella. They offer both a day camp and an overnight one.Click here to read more…
