Aloha College Summer School
Make the most of this summer at the Aloha College Summer School! Academic classes provide a great chance to catch up or get ahead of your friends in a whole host of subjects from Spanish to Science. For those with energy to spare there?s all sorts of sports you can enjoy, plus adventure sports to keep things interesting.
Each week there are also great outings organised from ice skating to cultural visits.
Summer School runs for 4 weeks and students can choose to join for 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks or the full 4 weeks.
Dates: Monday 28th June to Friday 23rd July 2010
Times: 9:30am to 2:00pm. (Snack and juices are provided).
The day is split into 4 sessions and the children can choose a different activity for each session.
3-5 years: Musical games, singing and dance, story telling, sand/water play, computers, board games, cookery, art and craft activities ? colouring, painting, cutting, modelling, sewing etc. There is also the outdoor activity area for the children to enjoy, with its secure, soft surface. (Children in this age group do not participate in activities outside of the College).
PROGRAM
ENGLISH: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced.
SPANISH: Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced.
MATHEMATICS: using interactive Smart Boards.
SCIENCE: In state-of-the-art laboratories.
ICT: Desktop publishing, speadsheets, databases, games.
DRAMA: There will be daily productions plus a major
show at the end of the course.
MUSIC: Learn and practise a wide range of instruments
ART: Paint, draw, create graphics, illustrate, observe.
CRAFTS: Dolls House making.
FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, CRICKET, SOFTBALL, VOLLEYBALL, TENNIS, ATHLETICS, ADVENTURE SPORTS.
Adventure Sports: Every Friday students can enjoy kayaking, raft building, climbing, abseiling and exciting beach games. The extra cost involved is 50 euros per student which covers transport, insurance, all equipment and fully qualified instructors.
SPORTS DAY: A sports day will be held at the end of Summer School where children will be competing in their favourite sporting activities, parents and friends are welcome.
Every Wednesday, recreational and cultural trips are organised.

The cost for each student includes:

Every Wednesday, a Summer School T-shirt and Certificate.
A deposit of 175 euros is required to reserve a place and is not
refundable on cancellation.

LOCATION
Aloha College is situated on the outskirts of Marbella in Spain?s Costa del Sol. The College is flanked by the championship golf course of Aloha and is opposite a very popular golf academy. Road access is excellent and 3 minutes along the highway takes you to the beach or the marina of Puerto Banús and within 5 minutes you are in Marbella town centre.
Aloha College has 3 sports pitches: an astroturf pitch and two all-purpose sports pitches. Facilities include has an Arts block, a Science block, a Media Centre which holds the main Library, Science laboratories, IT suites, Art studios, a large music studio and a drama suite with tiered performance area.
