Brexit and British Expats in Spain

Brexit and British Expats in Spain

Hi All,

I share all the concern of the many Brits who live and work in Spain. However Brexit will not happen for another 2 years at least secondly people who lived in Spain for the last 5 years or more they qualify for permanent residancy so there should be no issue here either.

The healthcare issue for most it is a matter of purchasing health insurance. The issue comes if your are ok'd with pre-existing conditions - this if course the UK government have to negotiate as part of the disengagement.

For anyone planning to move here or purchase a home should not be deterred - Brits made Spain their second home since early 60s and that's not going to change.

The Brexit can be an opportunity for many and the process has just begun and many need to voice their concerns to ensure satisfactory outcome for all expats.
