* Cake Couture

Over the weekend my girlfriend's daughter turned 13 and had the most incredible birthday cake from Cake Couture. It was multi-tiered with shopping boxes and had all her favorite bits...blackberry, MAC makeup, Abercrombie & Fitch shopping bag (with her face printed on it!)... All edible! Very impressive and the kids loved it.

If you want a cake to impress for any occasion, take a look at some of the designs from Cake Couture. They are seriously impressive and inspire! Click here to read more...

One of our readers shared some interesting information last week about astronomy classes that both the kids and their parents will enjoy.

”There is a top Astronomer who gives classes in Astronomy in Spanish outdoors at the Visitors center at the Natural Park in El Torcal nearly every weekend. The views of the night sky will astound you and even if you don't speak Spanish you will be invited to use Francisco's Telescopes and Binoculars ...for all ages.”

TIP: The park looks like it’s in Antequera, so it is north of Malaga about a bit more than an hour’s drive from Marbella. Click here to read more…

* Discount vouchers for Marbella attractions

One of our readers asks, ”I wonder whether anyone knows of any places we can get discount vouchers for any of the attractions local to Marbella, i.e. zoos, aquariums, kids parks etc Are there such a thing in Spain?

In the UK many of these types of places offer 2 for 1 or Kids Go Free especially in the off season. Usually they are found in local magazines, local newspapers, librairies etc.

We are travelling to Marbella at the end of this month for 10 days and trying to work out our daily budget. Any discounts would be much appreciated, the more discounts the more we can do!!”
