XV Criterium Sur de Europa classic car rally in Marbella

The classic and sport car club Sur de Europa has elected the Hotel Fuerte Marbella, for the second time in a row, as the venue for the XV edition classic car rally Criterium Sur de Europa, which is taking place from October 29th to 31st.

Members of the club will gather on the 29th for a dinner at the hotel accompanied by music and dance. On Saturday and Sunday the members will submit their roadbooks (GPS route planning programs), have a rally briefing and will depart in two phases.

The XV Criterium Sur de Europa is a rally for classic cars 25 years or older in age. The competition accepts around 30 cars from all over Spain, mostly from Madrid and Valencia. The race consists of 250 kilometers and is divided in two phases (one per day) with various sectors. The first phase leaves Marbella and goes to Ronda and the second phase leaves from the same point and ends in Torremolinos. The race will incorporate surprises for the drivers and the most mellow of drivers will have the possibility to enjoy the drive along the Serranía de Ronda and the Costa del Sol.

The four star Hotel Fuerte Marbella is located only a few meters from the beach and Old Town Marbella. It has 263 well equipped rooms, a restaurant "El Olivo" where one can try local delicacies, a café, pool and gym.
