Food Revolution Day

Food Revolution Day -- Kids Cooking on the Beach! As part of the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation's Food Revolution Day, which is devoted to fostering a passion for food and a deeper understanding of healthy eating, we are organizing a kids' cooking experience at DBlanco Beach Club & Restaurant on May 16th, from 1:00-6:00. A team of teachers and cooking coaches will be facilitating 4 cooking stations designed especially for kids --- where they will be able to acquire some critical cooking skills, learn vital aspects of healthy eating, and prepare a small plate like hand-rolled sushi, Moroccan chicken skewers, thai noodle salad, garden mini-burgers and more. The goal is to get kids engaged in the art of cooking and preparing food, teach them a bit about health and ingredients, and let them feel the fun and the flair under the chef's hat! Kids from ages 6-12 are welcome to register, and for 8 euros will get experiences at all of the stations (the lessons plus the take-away food). Come for as little or as long as you desire, and drop in whenever convenient! Register now at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/food-revolution-day-kids-cooking-on-the-beach-tickets-16691887886.

Food Revolution Day is a global campaign to put compulsory practical food education on the school curriculum. Jamie passionately believes that by educating children about food in a fun and engaging way, we can equip them with the basic skills they need to lead healthier, happier lives, for themselves and their future families.
