Feria de San Miguel Torremolinos Fair 2010

The Feria de San Miguel Torremolinos Fair 2010 will be taking place from Wednesday September 29 until Saturday October 2. This is a great place to soak yourself in the local Spanish culture eating traditional Spanish food like tapas and paella, dancing to flamenco in the streets and drinking homemade sherry or local beer.

The Torremolinos fair in honor of the patron saint San Miguel includes parades, a children´s fair in the evening, and much celebration during the day. This event has long been one of the most popular and important festivals in the area.

In general there will be a variety of events taking place everyday throughout the city at more or less the times posted here:

1:00pm - 7:00pm The day fair takes place in the center. The Bar La Tasca will be offering tastings of a variety of Spanish delicacies from paella to tapas all at no charge. Entertainment is provided by the Orchestra Kalima. La Tasca is located at Plaza Federico García Lorca.

2:00pm - 3:00pm Restaurante La Mancha in Plaza Goya is offering tastings of fried breadcrumbs, porridge and other Spanish delicacies.

2:00pm - 4:00pm Music, choir and entertainment in the city centre.

6:00pm (Wednesday) Flower offering at San Miguel Arcángel church in Plaza de la Independencia.

7:00pm (Wednesday) Procession at Plaza San Miguel

8:15pm (Wednesday) Inauguration at Plaza San Miguel

9:00pm Lighting of the feria

9:00pm - 12:00am Children´s entertainment and activities at the Caseta Municipal Infantil. Workshops, theater, puppet show, magic shows and more.

12:00am Pop music entertainment
