Café del Mar - We loved seeing all of your beautiful perspectives of Marbella, however it was Ellen E. Thoen's photo, "Cafe del Mar", that was the Facebook favorite with the most likes. Thank you to all who shared their photos with us. Keep up the good work, capturing Marbella in all its glory. We'll run another contest in the future and look forward to seeing each of your unique vantage points of Marbella.



ANNOUNCEMENTS

Autumn Activities - October is an incredibly active month in Marbella. There are multiple ferias, festivals and free events happening every weekend. This weekend alone, there is a cheese festival, soup festival, Oktoberfest Party (beer festival), film festival, just to name a few. Naturally we cannot list all of them here in our newsletter but we do strive to list them all on our Site Updates Blog. Also check out our Calendar of Events to keep up to date with what’s happening in Marbella and the Costa del Sol this month. Feel free to add any relevant events to our a Share a Tip page or you can share on our Facebook Timeline, as long as it is family friendly, we’ll share it with our Marbella Family Fun family.

Oktoberfest at South Beach Marbella – All the beer festival fun without having to fly to Germany. South Beach Marbella will offer a variety of beer, 1/2 liter & full liter mugs, pretzels & sausages, full South Beach menu, and live music. October 4th at 14:00. continue reading

Alora Soup Festival – The Alora Soup Festival also known as Día de las Sopas Perotas will be taking place this year on Saturday October 4, 2014 starting at 12:00pm at Plaza Baja. Perota soup is named after the locals of Alora who are called Perotas. continue reading

El Angel Feria in San Pedro – If you're looking for a bit of fun and Spanish culture then don't miss the El Angel Feria in San Pedro from October 2 until October 5, 2014. Already in progress, this feria continues through the weekend with live music, dancing, domino competition, olive throwing competition, adult and children’s football matches, and the crowning of the Mr. and Mrs. Angel. continue reading

Marbella International Film Festival – Already in progress, this Film Festival will run until October 5th. This festival includes 50 projections of 50 different countries, including the United Kingdom, India, Cyprus, Russia and Spain, among others. These projections will be in original version with subtitles in Spanish in the case of projections in English and English subtitles for other languages. continue reading

Exhibition at Dezentral – You are invited to the grand opening of “Hot Stuff from Germany”, the exhibition of paintings by Heinz Morszoeck at Dezentral Café and Bakery in Nueva Andalucia next to the Casino. October 8th at 16:00. continue reading

Gibraltar International Jazz Festival – The Ministry of Culture, in conjunction with the Gibraltar Jazz Society, announces the star-studded line up for the 3rd Gibraltar International Jazz Festival. The Festival events start on 20th October and will feature sixteen shows and events including concerts, street parades, jazz workshops and jam sessions. The actual concerts start on 23rd running up to the 25th of October. continue reading

Music of the Night Marbella – Music of the Night Marbella is a combination of three previously sold out shows: Encore the Three Tenors, West End Musicals and The Best of Broadway. The show returns one final time this year to Marbella on 1st November. continue reading

Marbella International Bridge Tournament – This is Marbella’s largest bridge playing event and the only international competition for bridge, the world’s most popular card game. 1st place prize money is 1,250 euros!!! continue reading

Emergency First Response Care for Children - November 4th and 6th. What could be more important than knowing how to care for a child in case of an emergency? The Kids Club at the Marbella Club Hotel is hosting a UK recognized 1st Aid course. The class focuses on practical First Aid scenarios including CPR and use of a defibrillator.
