* Hike through La Cañada de los Mojes in Sierra Blanca

Registration is now open for a hike through the mountains of La Cañada de los Mojes in Sierra Blanca on May 22, 2011. The walk, organized by various groups of the municipality, is free however, it is absolutely necessary to register by telephone at the Environmental Delegation (delegacion de Medio Ambiente) at 952 76 57 24.

* House swap in Marbella for Swiss chalet

One of our readers is looking to swap homes in Marbella for theirs in Switzerland. “I am looking to house swap our chalet for a nice home in Marbella this summer. This swap can be for same dates or our chalet is also available during ski season.

Our chalet is located in the mountain resort of Villars-sur-Ollon, a, well known ski and summer resort 1h30 car or train trip from Geneva, Airport, at the tip of lac Leman ( Geneva). * Siente Marbella Art festival on Saturday

Next Saturday, May 21st, the music, art and food festival ‘¡Siente Marbella Arte!’ will be held in Old Town Marbella. This next event focuses on art and reunites varoius artists who will be exhibiting works of art, sculpture and photography. This fun event will be held on the Paseo de la Alameda from 18.00 to 23.00.

* Marbella Fashion Show

On Saturday May 21st at 9:00pm Marbella Fashion Day will be held at the la Plaza del Santo Cristo in Marbella. The show will be approximately 3 hours long and is organized by ‘Té Pasión’ and ‘Peluquería Vicky’ cin collaboration with the Historical Center department. The event will include the summer collections from ten different stores in Old Town Marbella as well as lively disco music.


* Laude School summer fair

Take the kids and support your community at the Laude San Pedro International school summer fair on Friday May 20th from 6pm to 10:30pm.
