* Saturdays in Old Town Marbella

In an attempt to increase tourism in the historical center (Casco Antiguo), Marbella town hall is organizing a series of events to tempt the senses with sound, touch and taste called “¡Siente Marbella! Callejea con los sentidos” (Feel Marbella! Wander with the senses).

This event was due to start March 5, 2011, however has been postponed to March 12th due to the predictions of bad weather that day. The event will take place from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and held every first Saturday of the month in conjunction with the Marbella Ecological Market in Parque Alameda nearby. anywhere you go to make sure they are open before you head out. * Charity gala event

One of our readers says "I am involved in some local animal charities we have now managed to organize two charity gala dinner events in order to raise funds and awareness of this issue.

We are having a gala evening at Pizza Express, Ocean Village on Thursday 26th May and the following night at the El Paraiso Country Club in Estepona." Click here if you are interested...


* Gala dinner in aid of Cudeca

Please support this fundraising Gala Dinner in aid of CUDECA. 70 euros per ticket - (of which 35 euros will go straight to Cudeca). Includes three course dinner with wine and lots of fantastic musical entertainment from Tres Divos, A Touch of Class, Julie Anne Hunter and Rob DJ.

* San Pedro street closure

On Sunday March 6 starting at 6:00am cars are unable to park or circulate on Avenida Carlos Cano in San Pedro Alcántara (Paseo Marítimo/boardwalk) due to the II Carrera Ciclista en Homenaje a José López Gil ‘El Malagueta’ (II Bicycle Race in honor of José López Gil).


* Marbella family theater experience

The Marbella culture delegation is announcing a theater and dance program titled “Llevo a mis papás al teatro” ("I take my parents to the theater") which is a series of shows geared towards children and parents offering theater the whole family to enjoy.
