Approaching his first decade of serving a mixture of eclectic and traditional food, albeit with a twist, Timo Hamalinen has consistently pleased his diners, and is a firm favourite

with both tourists and resident alike.

We were attending a lunch of the Marbella chapter of The American club, and to be honest, I was not expecting a Cordon Bleu meal for the 20€ that included, a welcome flute of Carva, a three course meal, a glass of wine, tea or Coffee, and the tip! But to my surprise, the meal was, tasty, well presented, and most pleasant. The staff coped well, serving some 30 members of the public at the same time as about 60 TAC guests seated on the delightful terrace overlooking Marbella beach.

Options of Pea soup with prawns or a mixed salad with Pears and figs in a lemon vinaigrette were the starters. With mains of Grilled Salmon served with a leek and curry sauce and Basmati rice, - Chicken breast with a Manchego gratination, provencal potatoes and a cherry tomato ragout, or, a forest mushroom risotto with deep fried rocket. A dessert of mille feuille from the house, and a slice of carrot cake (complements of Carol) completed the meal that was appreciated by all.

I must remark on the organization, starting with Carol, the president of TAC, asking each guest to choose their starter and main courses a couple of weeks prior the event, and on the day, icons of each part of their order were placed on the designated table for each person, thus obviating any confusion for both diners and staff.
