Myself and my partner will be visiting Marbella in July with our 19th Month old daughter. We have been to Marbella on several holidays but this is the first time in Marbella with our daughter so we would love to hear of any suggested places you could recommend to bring her? I have heard of the Camelot activity park but nothing else? any suggestions ?

Galaxia
by: Rebecca

We would love to see you and your daughter here at Galaxia in the summer, we have loads of fun for all ages, and if you are here on a Friday you can join our toddler group, with Winnie the poo, we dance and sing along to some of the favorite nursery rhymes.

See our web page www.galaxiaplay.com and like our facebook page to get info on all the activities.

I hope you have a wonderful trip to our beautiful area.

Selwo Aventura
by: Sandra

We also took our daughter to Selwo Aventura for her 2nd birthday. She absolutely loved it!! The many animals, all the activities, feeding the farm animals and the ducks around the lake... even the safari trucks were so exciting that our little toddler spoke about them for days. I would highly recommend Selwo Aventura, but go early in the day because July can get pretty hot.

How to visit comfortable...

How to make a comfortable visit...
All the suggestions before are perfect. The only thing else I can recommend you is to walk along the "paseo maritimo" (beach side walk) in the afternoon. July is a hot month here, so be careful with that.
Just in case we can help you with your baby´s need, please have a look to our web.

Marbella playgrounds
by: Sandra

The best playgrounds are around the Puerto Deportivo. One is on the beach next to the port and the other is above the port. Great for kids. It's safe, they'll meet other children and the parents can enjoy the sun and a drink while watching them.

Visiting Marbella with babies - Part 2
by: Marbella Family

If you are located in Benalmadena, you can also head to Sea Life at the marina. You can have a lovely stroll along the port and easily pop into Sea Life. This is a quick and easy aquarium that you can visit and then have a nice lunch outdoors to soak up the sun.

If you need more ideas browse through our Attractions page or Marbella with Babies section. We also have a family forum for Babies & Toddlers, so you can post questions on any of the pages and get some quick answers.

Visiting Marbella with babies - Part 1
by: Marbella Family

There are plenty of things to see and do with a baby in Marbella...particularly if you have a well behaved one that you can take just about anywhere. However, if you want fun for both you and baby one of my favorite places to take the kids when they were little was the beach. You can read all about the beaches along the Costa del Sol and find the one that is nearest you. I like the Nueva Andalucia beach located right in front of the Guadalpin Banus Hotel. There are several man-made coves here that block out the waves and have very shallow water, so not only is it easy to wade in, but it's a lot warmer too.

You can also take your daughter to Galaxia Playcenter. This indoor playcenter has over 1000 square meters of fun for all ages from slides, mazes, and tunnels to baby groups where you can meet other parents and interact with other children.

You should also visit one of the aquaparks such as Aqualand in Torremolinos or Selwo Marina or Selwo Aventura, but these are more expensive and your daughter will probably have much of a recollection of these parks. Plus, this can turn into an all day activity and you may be disappointed to have to leave early for naps or a hot and disgruntled baby. I would sooner go for the Fuengirola Bioparc Zoo. This is a much smaller park that is easy for strollers and at a lower price. You can easily see the whole park in a couple of hours and you are done.

If you go to the zoo, you may want to stop in the Butterfly Park on your way home if you still have the energy and are looking for something else to do nearby. The Mariposario Butterfly Park is located in Benalmadena about 15-20 minutes from Fuengirola. Children under 3 years old enter free!
