I was in town for a big event and contacted Marcel at the last minute after reading the recommendations on Family Fun. I let him do his thing and got a great cut and blow dry. He is also charming and punctual, I could not recommend him enough :)

I will desperately need these grey roots covered and my stylist uses Schwarzkopf/Igora number 5.00. Any recommendations? I’m way too vain (sorry!) about my grey roots to go another 3 weeks of travel!! :).

Have been faithful to Marcel for over two years now. He manages to do small and fine touches which give you exactly what u need: looking good and without looking different/not yourself. And even looking good after washing your hair after and doing it yourself. Last time after I had my hair done, a young boy didn’t stop paying compliments to "all those golden n red reflections" in "my amazing hair"))))))
Marcel travels quite a distance to do my hair and accommodates my time needs too.

He is an expert in every aspect of, cut, colour, styling and blow dry that, in my opinión, no one else can achieve. Your hair looks fabulous. He is flexible with his appoinments and I have NEVER been let down. He is polite, gracious and honest when discussing style, colour, or cut to suit you. He is a busy hairdresser and will strive to fit everyone in as he can and it is extremely unfair and untrue for someone to post such a negative comment on this site. I, personally, would never change Marcel as my hairdresser and can recommend him highly.

Marcello came 3 times to our home.........each time the prices were different.........each time his mood was different........he is tetchy and impatient. Every time he was late and twice he never even showed. Haircutting should be a pleasant experience.......its the opposite with Marcello. The last time he smelled of drink......we have moved on

Marcel is my hero, last minute re-organization as original hairdresser taken poorly ( well , sure felt like it as my wedding is this Saturday , watch out Meghan , my " do" is simply stunning).
They say things happen for a reason , just had our dress rehearsal & can't thank him enough for not only fitting me into his schedule but creating the most beautiful finish to my hair ., totally perfect & I'm in happy tears.

I had my hair cut by Marcelo yesterday, and he did a great job! However the true test of a great haircut is how it is when you wash and dry it yourself. I am delighted to say that after washing and very quickly finger drying it today, it is perfect: exactly as I wanted! When I thought I wanted shorter layers at the back, Marcelo patiently explained the logic in leaving it a little longer and I'm glad I listened to him as it was looking great this morning. Thank-you Marcelo, and thank-you to all the lovely people who left the reviews here that helped me find such a great hairdresser.

Marcelo is incredible. He will come to your home at a convenient time for you, is professional, friendly, warm and a true hair stylist. I've been to the most expensive hair salons in Puerto Banus to the cheapest in Estepona and everything in between. He is the only one with REAL training and experience in hair. My long and very tangled curly hair which salons panic over was a breeze to him. He got it done in under 40 minutes and my hair looks red carpet worthy!

I was recently staying in Porto Banus and went to get my hair done at one of the top hairdressers close to the port. I paid a fortune and walked away with a disaster of a job, I was very upset. Dear ladies, thanks to this forum, I had a chance to meet Marcelo. Although, I was very sceptical, due to my previous experiences in Spain , where I was very unhappy with hairdressers'services, I have to agree with all already written regarding Marcelo's work. He is truly excellent! I was more than satisfied with the whole hairstyle he did (balayage, haircut). He is an artist but also very professional and pleasent! So my advise is not to go to fancy expensive hairsalons in Marbella and waste your money, as Marcelo is good value for money and more importantly,he will come to you!

Hi all, I needed to do something with the color and the hair. Found Marcel threw recommendations on line....was sceptical... but this guy I want to tell u, he is the MASTER! He understood exactly what I needed he did the best color and haircut that I had in years! My hair looks gorgeous even without blow dry after the shower! I invited Marcel again to my house for hairstyle for my big event and again, very quickly got an amazing hairstyle. Very much recommended, I consider my self lucky to have met him.

They only speaks Russian and they aren't cute and nice, over all the owner, Elena and her daughter Katia.

I went to Cru. In banus and a great French guy who really was great, he told me he wanted to get his own salon and even told me about his ides for the decor, the next time I went he was gone, I cant remember his name but if any body out there knows of whom I speak and best of all know where I can find him me and my hair will be very very greatfull.

The best hair salon? It´s a difficult one to answer, because what the "best" for one is, may not be so good for the other. I have been to a couple of hair salons in Marbella, but not many as I am really happy with the one I have been using for the last 13 years. I see Maria Jose at the Calasanz Woman in San Pedro. I have also tried some of the other girls at the salon and they´re all very good. I have had my hair highlighted, cut, styled, treated and just about anything else you can do with your hair there. The staff speak both English and Spanish, so there is no confusion in explaining what you want done with your hair. My kids also have their hair cut there and I´ve seen them work with very small children too. They´ve got a cute little seat in the shape of a car, so that kids can "drive" while having their haircut. A great distraction!

I also can highly recommend one of the stylists who used to work at the Nueva Alcantara club, but is now on her own and makes house calls. You can call Marisa at 677 217 933 (Spanish). She can do everything from colour to keratine treatments to extensions.

I also once tried a salon in Marbella called Bellissimi. I can´t remember the name of the hairdresser, but she was French. She highlighted my hair as well as my girlfriends´ and we were both very satisfied. You can find more information about this salon at www.bellissimi-spain.com.

If you´re looking specifically for the Puerto Banus area, my sister-in-law recommends Jacques Dessange. She´s been there already a few times and keeps going back. She gets her hair cut, colored, and styled there as well as doing her manicures and pedicures at the same time.
