If not, how mush did it end up costing in the end ?
I am from Canada, and not needing to work here.
My partner is not a resident here.

I am US citizen. I moved to Marbella from Boston, MA last year. I've been through this. There are several types of residencies in Spain. Are you planning on working here?
If you are independently wealthy, it's much easier. I can tell you that.
