Learning Spanish at Summer School

by Rachael
(Italy)

Hi there

We're moving over in the Summer with our boys, 8 and 9, starting bilingual Spanish/ English school in Sept.

They are English/Italian bilingual at the moment, however they really need/ we would prefer that they have a decent base in Spanish before they start school.

We wondered if there were any sporty summer schools that also incorporate Spanish language lessons? We don't want to bombard them and put them off or scare them about learning Spanish so we're not looking for any intensive courses, just maybe an hour or so or even just a majority Spanish environment where they can pick the language up while they are playing.

Any ideas??

Many thanks in advance for any advice.

Regards
Rachael

Hello Rachel,

Thanks for getting in touch with MarbellaFamilyFun.com.

Your question is a frequent one on this site so we created a dedicated page for MARBELLA SUMMER CAMPS

One specific place we have had success with our own boys (ages 5 and 11) is with HEALTH FIRST STUDIOS. The owner, Emmanuel "Manu" Poggio, has a kids class that engages the kids in a fun way and also is a native-Spanish speaker. His personality is great with kids and, although he speaks English fluently, he runs his program in Spanish because many parents have the same request as you.

Let us know how it turns out. We would really like to hear your feedback on your experiences in Marbella.

And if there is anything else we can assist with, don't hesitate to drop us a line anytime!

Best,
Robert
