Giving birth in Spain via NHS route (S2)

I am due to have my first baby in March next year and would like to have it in Spain. I am still a UK resident but spend some months in Spain and have an NIE number.

If I was in the UK, I would have my baby at an NHS hospital and I have been told I can get the same state treatment at the Costa Del Sol hospital in Marbella if I complete the S2 form with the NHS.

Has anyone been down this road before and could advise?!!
