Mom: "My daughter has gained self confidence"

Last year my daughter participated in the LAMDA exam preparation offered by the Marbella Youth Theatre. She wants to be an actress one day and is looking for ways to learn and expand her horizons...

...From the first day of the classes I was very pleased to find parents who have followed and supported Julie (the instructor) with her new venture. They had nothing but praise for her and now I understand why. She is obviously very highly qualified and makes the children feel very comfortable and welcome.

The children in her group all prepared two pieces to perform for the LAMDA examiners who fly in from the UK especially to test children in drama and musical theatre. If your children are seeking a vocation in theatre and entertainment I believe that these exams are very important to test their abilities and certify their skills to help them enter, eventually, into a theatre school abroad.

We had a very successful first term with the Marbella Youth Theatre and my daughter is very excited to start again. I have already seen a massive improvement in her self confidence. Previously, she wouldn't dare to sing or dance in front of a crowd, but this Christmas she and her friend were pop stars performing for the parents during the holidays.

We went to see the A Wizard of Oz Christmas performance that the kids put on last December to see what else Julie can do with the kids and we were all very impressed. The children did an excellent job and had a fantastic time not only performing on stage, but organizing their costumes, preparing the stage and getting involved with all that happens "behind the scenes"!

FYI, The Marbella Youth Theatre has been awarded centre registration from LAMDA, so all examinations are taking place in the same place where the students rehearse and perform.

Francine's family (Marbella)

Francine: "A fun and rewarding experience"

This is my daughter's second term with the Theatre group and she loves it. She played Dorothy in the 'Wizard of Oz' at Christmas and also took her first LAMDA exam, where she found both these experiences incredibly fun and rewarding...

...Julie, the drama teacher, is established and professional. It is a fantastic foundation where children can express themselves freely, grow in confidence and participate in accredited drama examinations. I highly recommend Julie and her drama classes.
