A Christmas Wizard of Oz

The Estepona Youth Theatre at The Studio - The equestrian centre Estepona - holds classes for children 7 to 18 years old from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. This year we are putting on A Christmas Wizard of Oz.


This class is taught by Julie Curran - a qualified drama teacher from the UK who has been preparing students for the LAMDA exams for the last 9 years.

The Studio has been awarded centre registration from LAMDA.



WHEN: Saturdays from 2:00pm to 4:00pm

WHERE: The Escuela de Arte Equestre (Estepona riding school) is located at Rio Padrón Alto s/n (no number). Take N340 toward Estepona. Exit 159, you'll see the sign on the highway across from Laguna Village. Continue for several kilometers and follow signs to the school, which will be on your right.



If your child is interested in preparing for the LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) exams, Julie also holds classes at The Studio on Saturdays. Read more about the training for LAMDA exams.

Estepona Youth Theatre is currently enrolling students for Summer School. It runs from Monday 2nd July - Friday 13th of July 2012, numbers are limited. The sessions run from Monday to Friday 10am - 2pm and the cost is 100 euros per week with a deposit of 20 euros per student per week.

Exciting and fun activities in Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre are planned for 7 - 16 year olds. The numbers are kept small so all youngsters can thrive in a non threatening, confidence building environment run by well qualified staff.

The Christmas Wizard of Oz was a great success. The show was a sellout and the professionalism of the students was outstanding. I received many letters of praise for these youngsters and would like to say a big congratulations to them all. On Saturday 17th December, our daughter Mia is playing Dorothy in 'The Wizard of Oz'. The show is an evening performance starting at 7pm in the Equestrian Centre, Estepona. Tickets are 5 euros. Rehearsals for the The Christmas Wizard of Oz are underway. Students are having a fabulous time preparing for the performance , that will take place in The Studio Estepona at 7pm on Saturday 17th December.

Last weekend we tried out the classes and my daughter was very interested. The parents who showed up had nothing but praise for Julie Curran who runs the classes. She is obviously very highly qualified and we are looking forward to the next classes and the production.

If you have a child interested in acting, this is a great opportunity for them to learn. Come join us! The more the merrier!

A Christmas Wizard of Oz - is for students between
the ages of 8 and 18. Your child or teenager does NOT need to have any experience, or been to acting lessons. The rehearsals will take place every Saturday between 2pm and 4pm at The Studio at the equestrian centre Estepona.The performance will take place the second/third week in December.
The cost is 120 euros paid in two installments. 60 euros the 17th September and 60 euros on the 5th November. Half term will be 29th October and there will be no rehearsals. Look forward to meeting and having some great fun with all of you

My 11 year old daughter is definitely interested. How much does it cost? What time to they rehearse? I assume they have to rehearse every Saturday? What happens during holidays? Where will the final performance be held? Do you need to have prior experience?
