Does anyone know how much it costs to maintain a natural grass lawn over the winter?

I want to get an idea what people spend on maintaining a natural grass lawn in Spain whilst properties are vacant during the winter months?


I would imagine watering, weeding and mowing is expensive but am looking for a rough idea on numbers?

We supply artificial grass and are hoping to do a cost comparison by having our luxury grass products installed with a life of 8 years and well beyond in most cases?

Depends what you are referring to when you talk about "grass" - like saying a "Ford" - there are a lot of types.
But if you have cool season grass, it is growing and will require the same maintenance as if you were in the UK. If you have warm season grass it is dormant, does not need mowing, just needs a little water once a month or so, and a little fertiliser once every 2 months to keep it alive.

In my opinion not really the issue. Its actually the cost of the artificial grass thats iportant - a bit like solar panels - you might be dead by the time you recoup the cost !!
