Batter pudding with cherries

This dish is a traditional country desert using seasonal fruit. It is very easy to make and needs to be eaten warm.

Recipe courtesy of A Private Chef Marbella.

For 4 people:

750 g de matured dark cherries
100 g of flour
1/2 sachet baking powder
4 eggs
125 g of sugar
2 pinches of salt
25 g butter
25 cl of milk
1 sachet vanilla sugar
Préparation : 20 mn
Cook : 45 mn
Temps total : 65 mn

Preheat your oven to 180°C.

Wash and cut the stems of the cherries and remove the stones (they are usually left to give a better taste but its better to remove them for children).

Whisk the eggs like for an omelette, add sugar and salt and whisk for five minutes.

Add the flour, baking powder and mix untill smooth.

Butter a baking dish, toss in the cherries and pour your batter.

Bake for 45 minutes at 180°

When warm dust the clafoutis with icing sugar.

Bon appétit
