Are there any other electricity companies other than Endesa?

Over the past few years my electricity bills have been going up and up, it would appear every month my bill is more than the previous month. We live in a small 2 bed, modern apartment and after getting a 457 euro bill after Christmas (even though we were in the UK for Christmas) we decided to experiment and not use any heaters and just use the log fire. However our bill has come in this week at 478 euros and I have spent a fortune on logs as well!! This can't be right!! Am I the only one who has this problem. I would be happy to hear any suggestions about moving away from Endesa?
