* Three Kings Holiday

* Royal mailman to the Three Kings visits Marbella and San Pedro

Now that Christmas is over, we have Three Kings Day (Día de Los Reyes) coming up on January 6th! You can visit the Royal Mailman to the Three Kings and pass them your wish lists from Tue, December 27, 11:00am – 8:30pm at Parque de la Alameda in Marbella center. This event lasts until January 5th.

Royal mailman to the Three Kings visits children on Calle Cordoba (near the nativity scene). There is a mailbox to the Three Kings, so children may write letters to him and receive an answer. Don't forget to include your name and address amd you will get a reply! * Marbella Souk Zoco del Sol

The Marbella Souk Zoco del Sol will take place this Friday and Saturday from 10.00 am to 16.00 pm in Plaza Antonio Banderas in Puerto Banus (next to El Corte Inglés department store), where 25 stands will be presented with arts & crafts. On Friday the blues band "The Moochers Trio" will play live from 12.30 to 14.30, making it an even more interesting and enjoyable visit.

The whole family will enjoy fun on Plaza Antonio Banderas with a race track for children and adults, children's play area, cafe and commercial stores on Puerto Banus which is a must see for Christmas!Click here to read more...


* Three Kings parade

Don’t miss the Three Kings parade next Friday January 5th. There are two parades held…one in Marbella and another in San Pedro. The one in Marbella starts at 6:00pm at the Municipal Football Stadium and ends at Avenida Ricardo Soriano 70. The San Pedro parade starts at 6:30pm at festival grounds (Recinto Ferial) and ends at Plaza de la Igleasia.

If you want to see the Three Kings arriving by boat, then head to Marbella at 12:30pm at the Puerto Deportivo de Marbella (Sports port). The Kings will then pass through the city ending at the Town Hall on Plaza de los Naranjos. Click here to read more...


* Roscon de Reyes

You may be noticing an interesting round sweet bread being sold in the stores throughout Spain lately. This is the Roscon de Reyes - a traditional round cake with a hole in the middle that is served the night before or morning of Three Kings Day on January 6th. Beware that these cakes have a surprises inside the cake such as a porcelain figure and bean, so take care when offering this cake to smaller children. Click here to read more...


* New Years Eve parties in San Pedro and Marbella

Don´t miss the New Year's Eve parties taking place at midnight in Marbella and San Pedro. The San Pedro party takes place on Plaza de la Iglesia on Saturday Dec 31. The Marbella party takes place on Plaza de los Naranjos in Old Town Ring in the New Year with the best music selection from a great orchestra. * Once Upon a Time performance

On Friday, December 30, Universal Cartoons present the musical "Once Upon a Time 'at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Marbella. Two performances are held, one at 17.00 and another at 19.00. See Calendar of Events for more details. Click here to read more…


* Holiday shopping hours

Keep in mind that with the New Years and Three Kings holidays coming up that businesses will be closed on these days, so get any shopping you need early. On December 31st, El Corte Ingles department store and Hipercor are open from 9am to 8:00pm, closed on January 1st, but reopens on Monday January 2.

La Cañada shopping center usually follows the same schedule as El Corte Ingles. Click here to read more…


* Marbella ice skating rink

The Palacio de Ferias y Congresos in Marbella has an 800 sq. meter ice skating rink, Christmas market and children's attractions until January 9th. Hours are from 12:00pm until 11:00pm. Free entrance and a nominal fee to ice skate and for rides. 7 euro for skate rental and 45 minutes of skating and rides cost 2.50 euros. Click here to read more…


* El Niño Lottery

Get your tickets now for El Niño lottery next Friday. El Niño, literally meaning the little one, is a slightly smaller draw celebrated on January 6th, the Three Kings Day. It represents a second chance for people missing out on El Gordo lottery (Dec 22), and will occupy most TV channel broadcast during the midday draw. Click here to read more…
