* La Fishita Restaurant

The best fish and chips (and fishcakes too!) I've ever had is at La Fishita restaurant centrally located in Nueva Andalucia. The menu specializes in fish, so everything is fresh and prepared to the highest standard. However, there is a variety of other choices in case you aren't a fish lover, like burgers, kebabs and pies.

I really enjoy the mix of traditional English with Spanish and international cooking. Where else can you find a wasabi-pickled ginger mayo sauce for your fish? You gotta try this out! Click here to read more…

* Spanish and Welsh cancer charity fundraising

Tenor Stephen Lloyd-Morgan’s new album 'In My Father’s Footsteps' is to be released on 1st July 2012. The album is dedicated in memory of his Dad Bryant, who passed away 18 months ago having been diagnosed with cancer only 5 week’s previously, and its primary purpose is to aid The Cudeca Hospice in Spain and Welsh cancer charity Tenovus – with 100% of sales income being donated. The 4th Marbella International Art Festival - Festival Internacional de Arte Marbella kicked off yesterday and is running until Sunday June 24th. * Kids beach volleyball

A friend just told me that kids up to 18 years old can join a group to play volleyball at San Pedro beach all July and August on Mondays, wednesdays, and Fridays from 6pm to 9pm. This event is organized by the Town Hall and is reasonably priced. My friend couldn't remember if it was 20 euro per month or for two months, but either way it's a good deal. You just show up and can try it out the first time free. I believe the nets are near the Red Cross building not far from La Pesquera and the big eucalyptus trees.
