* The Estepona Youth Theatre

The Estepona Youth Theatre is starting a new season this week with fun courses in drama, musical performance and LAMDA exam preparation for children 3 - 18 yrs. Qualified instructor, small classes for individual attention and loads of fun.

Girls and boys aged 3 - 16 love cheerleading with the Costa All Stars. They even have a special "Boys Only" class. Classes offered in Benalmadena and Marbella with a location at Monte Paraiso Golf Club near Swans School. Fantastic brand new facilities!

We have been to Marbella on several holidays but this is the first time in Marbella with our daughter so we would love to hear of any suggested places you could recommend to bring her? I have heard of the Camelot activity park but nothing else? any suggestions ? ”

* Holle organic baby food

One of our readers (from Hong Kong!) asks “My baby will only drink Holle organic baby formula. Has anyone seen this brand in the supermarkets in Marbella? We will be arriving there in a couple of months, just would like to know if I need to order from abroad. Will be great if we can find it locally.”

* Queen of Holland Day

On Monday April 30 at 6:30pm Marbella Town Hall invites you to celebrate Queen of Holland Day ‘Koninginnedag’ on the Paseo de la Alameda in Alameda Park near Old Town Marbella.

Koninginnedag is a day to honor the more than 1,000 Dutch residents who live in Marbella as well as celebrate this national holiday of the Netherlands.

One of our readers asks, “where is the new itv vechile testing station in Marbella, coming from la cala.”

We have given directions to the new ITV station in San Pedro de Alcantara. I just drove by there this morning and it looks brand spanking new…nice! It will hopefully save a lot of us from the drive down to Estepona or Malaga. Click here to read more…

* More events on the Costa del Sol

As Marbella Family Fun grows bigger and bigger, we receive lots of events and keep them all organized in our Calendar of Events page. We cannot possibly fit all of them in our newsletter, otherwise it will go on to China. So, take a look at our Calendar of Events page to see all the events that we have loaded on the site to find out what is happening near you.

TIP: We also recommend you download the app Calendapp on your iPhone. It lists many more events (not only the child friendly ones) from the small gig at the local bar to big concerts taking place not only in Marbella, but worldwide.


* Saturday morning dog walk

Come and join a group of dog loving people for a beautiful walk through the mountains of Marbella this Saturday. Triple A rescue center organizes the walk starting from the road near La Cañada shopping center to Coín. Great way to meet new like-minded dog loving friends.

* TaeKwonDo classes for kids and adults

TaeKwonDo classes for kids and adults are held at Dynamic Training Center in Marbella. Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00 - 7:00. Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. If they throw in some kimchi after class, count me in! Earlier on we had a discussion on where to take your dog for a walk without a lead on the Costa del Sol and although there was much debate about this, no one could recommend a designated dog park around. * Labor Day

It’s a bit early, but thought I should remind you all that May 1st is Labor Day in Spain. This means that most businesses and schools are closed. This year it falls on a Tuesday. Some businesses and schools may in fact make a “puente” a bridge on the Monday to have a longer weekend, so check schedules for Monday April 30 before heading out. Click here to read more…
